Principal's Message

Welcome to East Millsboro Elementary School! I am honored and thrilled to extend a warm greeting to both new and returning families as we embark on an exciting school year filled with learning, growth, and connection.

At East Millsboro Elementary, we are committed to providing a holistic education that supports the development of the whole child. We understand that academic success is just one facet of a child's journey, and equally important is their social and emotional well-being. Our dedicated team of educators recognizes the importance of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and incorporates it into our curriculum to help students develop essential life skills such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

Our commitment to supporting the whole child extends to our instructional practices. We believe in targeting instruction through best practices and personalized approaches to meet the unique needs of each student. To achieve this, we utilize high-quality instructional materials such as Math Bridges and CKLA: Core Knowledge Language Arts. These research-based resources are designed to engage and challenge students, providing a solid foundation in mathematics and language arts.

Building strong and positive relationships is at the heart of our school community. Our educators take the time to get to know each student personally, creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and respected. We also understand the importance of partnering with families in the educational journey.
